What ConnectSociety Is:
Social Media + Content Management = Social Publishing
ConnectSociety is an umbrella project for various initiatives in collaboration and organization of web media.
Our first collaborative initiative is aimed at achieving universal standards and conventions in the sharing of web media. The ConnectSociety Social Publishing Platform combines the familiar social community application with tags that organize favorite web links, videos, as well as other customizable ways to save and represent information. The media platform is driven by a cross-site RSS-like convention that supports social media, videos, web search, and other search verticals (jobs, classifieds)
Our Vision:
Today’s users are highly engaged with social communities, photo albums and online bookmarks to make and maintain relationships with people and data. What we’re seeking to create is a universal system to describe resources, as well as content filters and ranking processes in order to allow people to search anywhere they wish, using any kind of search “special knowledge” they want to.
For most simple searches, somewhere in the results, Google has the answer. But, Google could sort its results to be free of junk and advertisement-only pages, similar to Wikipedia, then, you would certainly find the result faster. One often expects Wikipedia to contain an entry, but, a resource with built-in user-feedback and satisfaction memory would provide an even better answer. These advances can arrive through openly available indexes and summaries to resources.
What we do:
We commit to gathering awareness and building consensus in web media development. We serve as a think-tank, media planning consultancy, as well as a web communications agency.
Standards – in order to make sharing or summarizing content feasible.
Community developed software –interfaces, engines, Web 2.0 News and Portal / Classified
Content Networks – Content Services, turnkey webportals, side-pages, / widgets.
Publisher Syndicates – Supporting advertisement optimization and leverage.
How we Work:
Progressive media demands a progressive licensing strategy. I’ve designed our licenses concerning our technology to take advantage of the benefits offered by both open source, as well as proprietary software development.
